Three September 2019 improvements to Microsoft Power BI visualizations

In their most recent update, Microsoft has added some new capabilities related to Power BI visualizations.

1. Data profiling information is easier to use. Users can now copy and paste data profiling information as needed, including from quality summary, distribution charts, profile column statistics and distribution.

2. Drill through is more obvious. One of the greatest features of modern visualizations is their interactivity. Users can tweak data representations to explore and understand the data story, and with their most recent update, Power BI has made this easier. There’s now an additional line on the hovering tool-tip that indicates when users can drill through to another report or visualization.

3. Visual formatting is now conditional. For those who appreciate a dynamic, custom color palette, this new release has expanded the formatting abilities in alt text, border color, and gauge.
