On Monday, Microsoft detailed a list of improvements made in their October 2019 release of Power BI. These included adjustments to reporting, analytics, visualizations, data connectivity, data preparation, templates, and more. The Q&A improvements include:
• A new visual. End-user experience is better with an improved visual during Q&A.
• Better UX on the input box. The input box is now more interactive, providing feedback to users as they type in search queries. Two underline colors are provided to clarify system response as queries are produced: blue for terms understood and red for terms not understood. These and other improvements will help you find what you need, faster!
• Improvements to natural language processing (NLP). There’s now a wider vocabulary behind the Q&A thanks to thesaurus integration, and you can stay better organized with expanded support for table labeling.
