Earlier this month, Microsoft released a handful of new features for its PowerBI Desktop software. The updates cover a broad range of categories including reporting, analytics, modelling, custom visuals, and data connectivity. Highlights include:
A new modelling view, which allows bulk editing of table content, multiple diagram layouts, dragging and dropping into display folders, and more
Improved search results via Q&A recommendations, specifically a Google-esque “Did you mean _____” feature underneath the search bar
A new connector for Azure Cost Management that allows better access to relevant data
Easy-to-use keyboard shortcut navigation that simplifies data access
The small but useful ability to show dates as a hierarchy
Check out the PowerBI blog for details on these and other new features.
