Delivering 24/7 managed services to support a DevOps infrastructure

At a glance

Our client needed a 24/7 managed services solution that covered both development and DevOps infrastructure support. We developed an operating model and delivered the resources they needed, while also building in scalability for accommodating high-demand situations.

Customer challenge

Our client had been developing on a microservices platform and needed a 24/7 team to isolate the development resources from the day-to-day support activities. Their complex platform incorporated a CI/CD pipeline plus monitoring and logging, so they required resources with the skillsets necessary to support this infrastructure.

Approach and solution

In addition to delivering support resources with the required skillsets, Logic20/20 implemented IT infrastructure library (ITIL) best-practice service management processes. We also leveraged an offshore partner to support the core team by providing off-hours coverage, ensuring 24/7 availability.

Value and benefits - “the wins”

Logic20/20 helped our client achieve their goal of isolating development resources from support, enabling developers to focus on product delivery. Our client now has the flexibility to respond to vendor integration changes while offering fluid support of new product and feature introductions and more closely controlling product readiness and releases. We also significantly improved monitoring of the environment so that the team is immediately alerted to any issues as they arise, which has resulted in 99.9 percent availability of their overall solution.
