Recent update to Tableau Prep Builder improves connectivity and flow
1 min read
With the advent of the Internet of Things, data can come from practically anywhere. There’s value buried in Big Data, but nothing is clear before a detailed analysis is complete. Tableau Prep Builder is one tool suited to processing an important stage of this analysis: data preparation. With the most recent release, Prep Builder 2019.2.2, Tableau announced that analyzing data from external databases is now easier thanks to the Other Databases Connector (ODBC).
As your data expands and changes, keeping important elements straight becomes more and more important. This new release also enables you to rearrange steps in your flows, dragging and dropping as needed to adjust their placement. You can select multiple steps at once and rearrange as necessary.
We’re eagerly awaiting Tableau’s next release(s). What would you like to see added?
