New features are rolled out in Microsoft Azure on an ongoing basis. August 2019 is no different, and we’ve selected four of the most important new features announced by Microsoft this month. They are:

 

Azure Functions now have Python support

If you develop using Python 3.6, you can now publish apps to run in serverless hosting in Azure. Read more on the Microsoft blog.

 

You can now create virtual machines using an previous shared image

Using a shared image gallery in Azure DevTest Labs, you can now create a virtual machine based on any version of an image that you want. Read more on the Microsoft documentation.

 

Azure Kubernetes Services now includes audit logging

By enabling diagnostic logs, you can now keep a closer eye on API behavior in your Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) operations. Read more on the Microsoft documentation.

 

Blob storage is now available on IoT Edge

Uploading and storing data on local block blob storage is simpler with IoT Edge integration. Using this module, you can manage auto-uploading and auto-delete of your information as needed. Read more on the Microsoft documentation.
