If you excitedly began using Amazon’s Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka when it was released in preview last year, you’re in for a treat. Amazon has revealed that MSK is now fully available—and with new features!

Using Kafka to process streaming data is well-known practice, but sometimes the management of this task can distract from being able to actually work with data. This is where Amazon MSK comes in; it handles all the administrative aspects of using Kafka for streaming services data.

Following the preview stage of MSK, Amazon has integrated a handful of helpful features into the general release, including support for Kafka 2.1.0, improved tagging, expanded authentication, and better encryption.

We’re excited to see what comes next at this year’s conference. What are you hoping to see at Amazon re:Invent 2019?
